Many patrons are interested in purchasing their own players or book cartridges to use the NLS BARD program, rather than waiting on their NLS-provided equipment. There are currently five third-party players you may purchase to use the BARD program.
Players:
APH Braille Plus Mobile Manager
HIMS BookSense
HumanWare Victor Reader Stream
LevelStar Icon
PLEXTALK Pocket PTP1
Cartridges:
Independent Living Aids
NLS does not endorse any of these players, but they are all available for private purchase.
